Admissions and accepted students
Though our offices are physically closed, our staff members are still available to assist you remotely with questions about admissions, enrollment, registration, financial aid and billing. If you have additional questions, please be sure to reach out. We’re here for you. Our remote availability is Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
We miss the opportunity to meet you in person. That day will come again. In the meantime, we encourage you to take our virtual tour of campus and residence halls. In addition, take a deep dive into the VCU website and learn what makes us proud to be part of the Ram family.
This website is updated often as information becomes available. In addition, you can download the VCU Mobile app from your iOS or Android App Store to receive notifications each week when this site is updated.

With the health and safety of all students, families, faculty, and staff being a priority, Orientation is online for summer 2020. Orientation will consist of a series of modules released over the summer for students to complete at their own pace. There will also be three required virtual meetings and multiple opportunities for connecting with other students. We recognize the important role of families and are providing a virtual Family Orientation experience at no cost to families. Visit the Orientation website for details and the steps you need to take to sign up for Orientation.
For information about the VCU housing application and deposit, visit the Residential Life and Housing website.
Rooms are assigned in batches beginning in July and continue throughout the summer. All assignment information and other housing communications are sent to the student’s VCU email address. While efforts are made to place students in their top choice, that is not always possible. Assignment priority is based on when an application is completed, and the $250 nonrefundable prepayment is received.
