Temporary increase for leave carry over limits
Based on employee feedback, VCU will temporarily increase leave carry over limits. University and Academic Professionals and 12-month Faculty will be able to carry over up to four weeks (160 hours) of leave above the allowable maximum on January 10, 2022. Any leave hours above the maximum carry over for the specific employee category plus the extra 160 hours will be subject to carry over limits on Jan. 9, 2022. Employees may view their current leave balances in VCU Employee Self-Service at go.vcu.edu/ess.
If you have questions about this leave update, please contact your HR professional.
Exemptions for vaccinated employees begin May 17
Effective May 17, VCU faculty, staff and students who are fully vaccinated are exempt from quarantine, surveillance testing and daily health attestation requirements. Vaccination will be verified. Report your vaccination here. If you reported your first dose, be sure to report your second dose and upload your documentation, such as a photo of your completed COVID-19 vaccination record card.
If you wish to schedule an appointment to receive your vaccination through VCU, contact VCU Employee Health at (804) 828-0584. Or you can use VaccineFinder.org to find a location near you.
