VCU Together Update for students - Aug. 13, 2021
Put this on your calendar: COVID-19 Relief Fund application opens Monday, Aug. 16 at Noon
As part of an ongoing effort to provide financial relief to students during the COVID-19 pandemic, VCU will begin accepting applications for COVID relief grant funds at noon on Aug. 16.
The grants are valued at up to $1,250, and students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible as funds are limited. The funds can be used for either tuition and fees or related expenses, such as housing, utilities, food, school supplies, transportation, childcare and Internet access. No FAFSA information is required to complete the seven-question online application.

Wear a mask inside campus buildings
VCU announced earlier this week that masks are to be worn indoors throughout the university. This public health measure applies to everyone, including individuals who are vaccinated. This is one of many public health measures in place to help stop the spread of COVID-19, particularly the Delta variant, and is based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. At this time, VCU does not have density restrictions or mandatory physical distancing protocols.
VCU will continue to monitor the prevalence rate in the area and adjust protocols accordingly. All updates will be sent via Together Updates and posted to together.vcu.edu.
If you haven’t already done this, do it now.
Registration holds go into effect Monday if you haven’t submitted your vaccination documents or exemption paperwork.
If you have not already done so, please submit your vaccination documents or exemption paperwork. For instructions and links to forms, visit University Student Health Services.
VCU’s COVID-19 vaccine requirement applies to all students who live, learn, work or will be on campus for any reason. It also applies to students who are enrolled in virtual classes (unless the degree program is one of VCU's entirely online degree programs).
