Clarification on vaccine reporting for VCU employees serving VCU Health System
Dually employed employees must report vaccine documentation or submit an exemption request to both the university and VCU Health System. If you are a VCU employee with a "contingent worker" designation through VCU Health System, you are considered in compliance with the health system's COVID-19 vaccine requirement as long as you are in compliance with the university's COVID-19 vaccine requirement.
Reporting symptoms is something everyone should do
Knowing when to report symptoms can seem confusing. The bottom line is that everyone at VCU, even those in our community who are vaccinated, should report their symptoms to the call center 804-MY-COVID. This number connects you to Employee Health Services, and this is where you get guidance about next steps, including whether or not you should get tested and/or isolate or quarantine. Reporting your symptoms also gets you connected to the services you may need if you do need to quarantine or if you test positive and need to isolate.
Does this mean everyone has to complete the daily health check each day? VCU students and employees who are unvaccinated, whether remote or on campus, are required to complete daily health surveys. An exemption to this public health measure is granted to VCU students and employees who are fully vaccinated and have reported their vaccination to VCU. Complete your daily health survey at dailyhealth.vcu.edu or click "WorkReady" in your VCUMobile app.
VCU Recreation and Well-Being has temporarily suspended basketball at all RecWell facilities. Currently, Intramural and Sport Club basketball activities will continue. For more information about RecWell activities and facilities, visit https://recsports.vcu.edu/.
